Small talk isn't my specialty.

When we meet for the first time as we are talking about the weather and who you know that I know and how the weather is crazy, I'm actually thinking to myself "can I ask you what your biggest dream is if there were no obstacles & you couldn't fail?" Is that weird? OR "I wonder what your biggest failure has been thus far and what lesson you learned?"

I'm asking myself what your love language might and wondering if you read because I want to tell you about this book I'm loving!

This isn't because I'm rude or don't care. It's because life is short and while I know we are raised to make small talk to demonstrate politeness it detracts from actually getting to know you at your core. And I don't know about you but I want to leave a mark with my life. Create impact. Chase dreams. Fail and get back up. I want to be a collaborator, a support system, a person who nudges others to get uncomfortable, a woman who supports other women, a demonstration of what's possible.

So I want to know.....really & truly. What keeps you up at night? What dream do you hold inside because it seems SO audacious? What are your deepest fears? What has been your greatest success? Is there a podcast or book or blog or song that just speaks to your soul? What are you most proud of right now? What has disappointed you recently? What brings you joy? What song makes you smile and want to move your body? And on and on.....don't be surprised if one of these ponderings slips out when small talk has begun.

And please feel good about sharing because I want to witness your bravery in sharing and celebrate your vulnerability!!! You are so amazing. Say it with me "I am amazing. I am worthy. I am capable."
